What is it with these photo of a wonderful site?
Are they over-sharpened, maybe? Or partly blown? Too contrasty?
Or was the sun too high in the sky?
There's some element there that puts a strain on my eyes and I can't nail it, not really (other than in Photo 5, which I do think is overexposed and blown in parts).

The site looks great! And I best like the two photos of the arch.
Tell me: did you apply any pp to these?

Love the detail in these shots
#1 & #4 are my faves

what a great place

I like the second, the colors look enhanced, but maybe just a little overdone and too much contrast. They all seem to tilt to the right a bit. #3 has some composition problems.

The colors are enhanced a bit, but not much. What you see is pretty close to the natural "glow" of the place, given the late afternoon lighting and so forth.

I can see lots of blown out highlights ... in particular in the last one where they really bother me.

I like the first two ... 4 would be nice if there was less tilt.

interesting place, where is it?

Thanks Alex. It is at an archeological site named "Beit She'rim" in Israel.
