Updated July 5th, Photos of the fire ravaged areas are now on the blog.

Here is a link to my blog with Angora Fire photos. Please keep in mind that these were taken in a hurry, no tripod and it was the heat of the moment because my house was in the path of the flames. My sensor was dirty from falling ash, my hands shaky with nerves. I realize the photos aren't great, but they do tell a story.
Our home was spared, but we almost lost everything.

The end of the fire is missing, I was evacuated and trapped in a hotel room with 3 small children with a tummy bug

A friend of a friend has a brother in law who is a local firefighter and he's going to try and escort me throguh the fire damaged areas this weekend for photos to complete the blog.

wow. scary and exciting. i've photographed large fires, but only grass fires, no forests, and with TONS of firefighters around . . . but nothing with anything but news helicopters. very good opportunity for you! make sure you submit to the papers!

None of my work is good enough to submit to the papers I am strill a beginner and I am starting to thin I suck at this photography thing.

But I did get photos of the aftermath, they are up on the blog now.
