Hi Folks, figured if I'm going to lurk and try to contribute, I should throw in introduction into the ring...
Chris from Western Australia here... I'm signing up and lurking around a few different photography forums hoping to pick up some tips n tricks, having just retired my old Canon A95 and picking up a new Pentax K10D with a Sigma 17-70, F2.8 - 4.5 lens on the front.
Love to hear from others in Western Australia, though between work, 2 kids and a wife with a 3rd on the way I'll probably not have time for any photographic outings
Here's a couple of my favs from my first week with the K10. I'm loving this lens already! Advertised as Macro down to 20cm, I've managed to focus it down to about 3cm from 17 right up to 70mm... (Though the DOF at that distance is measured in mm!)
Still room for improvement, but that's why I'm here
