Another newbie!!

I'm Lydia and I don't know much about digital photography besides the usual "point & shoot". I own a Kodak Z710 and got a Nikon D3000 for Christmas from my fiance. I usually take action shots from the NASCAR races I go to, but they aren't all that great compared to some photos posted here or by other photographers. I've used my Kodak to take them. Now that I have the Nikon, I want to learn how to take better quality pictures. I look forward to learning from everyone here.

LOL The real Jersey Shore is nothing like that show. Those people are mostly from New York and don't have a clue. LOL

But I do like lasagna

I am a Noobie here also and a rookie photography looking to go Semi Pro... One thing you didn't mention is the lenses you have for your Nikon, what kit lens did it come with? Are you shopping for lenses. Getting out or the auto pilot setting and interchanging lenses will open up a whole new world for you...
