Hi, I am new to the forums. I am a hobbyist that is mostly interested in macro photography of insects. (Mostly ants and other species in Hymenoptera) I have a Canon rebel XSI with a 75-300mm tamron lens and a 28-50mm tamron lens. (I use macro filters on the 50mm) I also occasionally use a Canon D10 camera for videos and underwater photography. (Its recently started telling me I have lens error, and the only way it works is if I fully charge the battery and hit the review button to turn it on, it will be really annoying if I can't fix it before summer. Does any one know if its something easily fixable?) Here are a few of my favorite photos I have taken. I hope to learn a lot here to improve my pictures!
Fornica dolosa carrying its nest mate to a new nest site.
Polyergus lucidus the slave making ant biting my finger with its sickle shape jaws. (feels funny, but doesn't hurt.) I took these with my D10.
A Bombus queen in flight. One of my older photos.
A Nepenthes at Roger Williams Botanical Center.
A Dolichovespula arenaria queen in spring.
