any opinions on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens?

Its a nice little lens, and for the price everyone should have one.

Cheap best second lens. Everyone should have one of those in the bag. Great for indoor low light shots but the 1.8 is better at 3* the cost.

If you can swing and get the older version with the metal mount I would go that route even though there is nothing wrong with the new version. With that being said I am not a big fan of the 5 aperture blades.
