Any tips for shooting fireworks?

Excellent fireworks shots, I tried taking some as well on the weekend, I should have read this thread and purchased a remote switch beforehand, In the end I just put the camera on timer, which meant I lost the ability to pick the best times to take the photos. Next time I'll be more prepared! Anyway, here's my shot:

That's a good shot too! If it were me I'd crop out the "Ikea" sign at the bottom as it looks a little too much like an ad But the colours in the fireworks are great! The shutter release cable helped immensely. I got the Hama one I linked to above and it worked perfectly for just a few quid. Definitely get one for next time.
