Anyone remember the Beattie Intenscreen?

These were replacements for the original installed focusing screens. They were designed for a variety of cameras, both 35 mm and medium format. I recently acquired a mint + Nikon FM2-N. It had the standard focusing screen by Nikon. I kept thinking this screen was good but I wanted better. Years ago when shooting professionally I discovered the Beattie Intenscreen. Fast forward to 2019, I went searching for Beattie Intenscreen. Search the internet but no Beattie, digital has made focusing screens passé’. Continuing my search on eBay I located a German photo dealer who had some preowned in stock. Grid and prism. Ordered one and installed it: gave me what I remembered.

Good deal! Yes, I remember the Beattie screens. They were all the rage back in the day. I believe there was another company as well that offered a very similar product.
