I haven't personally used one, but know a bunch of people who picked one up and absolutely love it. Been seeing some very nice, very sharp photos

Okay, I've been thinking. Yeah, I know, dangerous! I just might have enough stuff to sell to pay for this lens woot!! I swore I wouldn't get rid of my 7D when I got the 5DIII, but, hey, this is a beast of a lens, and I want it lol!! Between the camera, 3 lenses, oem grip, extra oem battery, I might even have a little over what I need! Hmmmmmm........... decisions decisions.......................

Heard and seen the same thing. A birdographer I know fairly well rented it and I'm guessing will own it soon. He was patient enough to hold off on the Tamster.

Wifey uses version 1. I told her if she wants, she can sell it and a couple of toes for the upgrade.
