Downloaded the free trial of aperture and lightroom. Not sure which one I prefer. I find aperture easier to understand being a Mac user. Any advice?

There are several 3rd party applications complimentry to Lightroom that don't work with Aperture, and Photoshop Lightroom is of course tightly integrated with Photoshop CS5/CS6.

Lightroom 4 was recently released at a new, much lower price, and has some nifty new capabilities to boot.

What goals do you wish to achieve? I tested both when I was making my decision. Aperture is MASSIVELY better at storing, archiving, and locating images. (What else would you expect from something by Apple?) However, Lightroom exceeds Aperture in editing and works better with Photoshop CS4, CS5, etc.
