Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
For some it was only contast. Others cropping and contrast, and brightness. I think only one has color change.

I thought they looked way better though.

This was more of just messing around. It was only rediculous contrast settings, but i thought the colors looked neat. Haha..

I guess the edits are an improvement. I'd have to say though that none of the shots look well focussed and some are quite "noisy."

The first and seventh noisy and what do you mean by out of focus?

Hm. I can't remember what you are shooting with, but if I recall it is something like a 1MP camera? That would be why none of these appear 'in-focus' and noisy, and unfortunately there isn't much that can be done with that.

The edits I like best are 1 and 3, as they compliment the subject and aren't overly saturated/contrasty.

One and three? Hmm. One was my favorite picture but two was my faovirte edit.

Thanks for the comment. =)

And thanks Flash Harry for explaining. :D

Okay I'm not smart enough to process all the shots at one time. I also dont really get into the technical parts of an image usually. To me an image is about composition and is the whole thing bigger than the parts.

So what do I think of you images..... Too busy.....

you have an good eye I think and really nice ideas but, the images have way to many things stuck in them. For just an example. The bread basket. The corners of plates does nothing for it in my opinion. Maybe the butter dish, and a bread knife (Used would be nice in my opinion) But not all the other things. Still life really responds well to the Kiss principle. Keep It Simple SAdie.

Editing is there to improve the picture. Editing can't compensate for an image that isn't well concieved. Yours are almost well conceived try it with fewer things in your shots. Not so many lines.

Remember this only the opinion of the apprentice village idiot, so dont take it too seriously.

Hahaha despite mysteryscribe dismissing his own opinion I definitely agree. I've posted this a few times and I'm sure it gets old to others that notice it too but before you take the shot you should ask yourself what your subject is and why it would be interesting.

For example #3 the hanging plant. Is the subject the iron plant holder... thing? What makes it an interesting subject? When you're taking a shot you should ask these things and try not to answer it from your own point of view but some random shmoe (us in this case) who has no clue about anything other than the small scene before us. Make sense? Fireworks are a good example. When you're in the situation they look beautiful... there's a sense of nestalgia... etc. but they're very hard to photograph because none of that translates well and most firework shots look dull. That's just my opinion but hopefully it explains my point.

As for the edits specifically, I think you're headed in the right direction. The No Trespassing sign looks weird though. What type of edits did you do and what program? Generally 90% of my shots are only edited with Levels or Curves in Photoshop. For me... the key is usually to edit the shot enough to improve the quality but not enough to show the viewer what my tricks are. I want them to see a high quality shot but not think it was edited unless that's my specific purpose.

#1 Contrast and crop .. how could I forget that? =P
#2 Contrast
#3 Contrast
#4 Grayscale then added red/yellow colors
#5 Contrast
#6 Contrast
#7 Crop
#8 Stupid Contrast

I used Adobe Photoshop. :o

I'll just coment on the first- the crop is much nicer without the distracting spaces top and bottom. Nice work on the contrast too.

I dont' know what versin of PS you are using, but look into curves and levels.
