Hey guys. Tried out a new macro setup. Instead of a Minolta lens, I took my Olympus E-450, an Olympus 40-150, and a Kodak Ektar 80mm f2.8 off my Hasselblad 1600f reversed and rubber banded to the end of the 40-150. Of the lenses I've done this with, this one was the most secure by far. Anyway put my globe in my homebuilt studio featuring ghetto softboxes (I'll get real ones fairly soon) made with clamp lights and pillow cases (as I said, I'll be getting real ones fairly soon), and snapped away. Here's the results:

In retrospect, I wish I would have done more with different angles, but hey. It's all said and done now. Let me know what you guys think.

Hmm, I like the visual concept.
Too bad that setup did not add a circular distortion to add more curvature.

It's a big globe, so the surface was relatively flat. I totally agree though-reminds me more of a map than a globe like this. This lens doesn't distort quite like the others. But that's the fun in this-trying new things with what I've got on hand. Now what to use next... Hmm... Maybe I'll try this setup with something that has a bit more depth.
