Art teacher from East Texas

Yes, there are still art teachers left in East Texas, haven't totally run us off yet! I teach high school and have 3 beautiful boys. My husband is a band director so the arts are very big in our family. I've been trying my best to improve my photography skills for the 10 years I've been a mom. It's become a serious addiction with expensive consequences but I'm doing my best to pace myself. I'm afraid I bit off more than I can chew by replacing my Nikon D40x with a D7000 but I'm trying to use all the capabilities to improve my pictures. I hope to capture beautiful images every time I set off to take a card full of pictures. So glad to find this forum of patient and helpful folks!
