Much better lighting than before if I remember correctly. Good job.

There still seem to be a soft focus on the face, not sure what's causing it though. f/3.5 seems to be enough, could be the shutter speed. Are you still manual focusing or went back to auto focus? I shoot almost all of my portraits with AF, putting center point on the eye, then composing from there. I also think I shot at f/4-6 ... depending on lighting. (just checked my shutter, and it's around 1/350-1/200ish. That might be your issue)

on #3, if you try and reshoot again, I'd like to see the whole opening for symmetric purposes. Something about the cut off circle throws it for me.

Pretty decent camera handling, misstwinklytoes!

I added the exif data. Maybe I'll do better at the exposures when I get my Understanding exposure book. :)

Thanks Geaux. I'm losing some image quality when I resize. I'll crop a 100% and see what you guys say.

Thanks Derrel. One thing I noticed is that I'm cropping much less of the photo. Meaning I'm framing it better in the camera.

This one looks fairly soft:

This one looks okay, I think: (Better than old ones at the very least)

And I think this one looks alright:

MIss!!!! Do not use AI Servo! Set it to 1 pt focus pt and put it closest to the eye. Put the red dot on her eye, press halfway, recompose.

I had it on Servo for that one by accident cause it's one I took right after I got her sliding down a pole. Forgot to change it back til the next picture.

Dont bother changing it to AI-Servo. One shot AF will do just fine.. seriously. If she is sliding down I would use ONe shot AF with all focus pt turned on.
