Here's one I took of myself just playing around

What do ya think. I'm no pro, but I want to get a lot better.

Nice; the first one is a little dark overall, the second one is a classic scene; a couple of suggestions: Straighten your horizon or crop it out, and when you're using a linear subject, (the line of foot prints) generally, it's best to try and have it guiding the eye toward the centre of the image. In this case you sort of come in and go out the lower third without really noticing the top.

Thanks. I didn't have much time to straighten the picture because of the incomming waves.

If the first one was a bit lighter and without the busy surrounding it would be perfect!
Clean up the garage and try it once more

I love the feeling of the beach scene. I agree it would be better with the horizon straightened but I think it's really nice.
