B&W photo with some coloured elements

Hello everyone,
Could anyone explain me or give some links to tutorials on how can I make the B&W photo with some coloured elements, e.g. B&W background and the flower in the middle in nice rich colours? Do I need photoshop for that effect or any image software will do? Obvoiusly I have to shoot in colour, don't I?

Any help is much appreciated.

You don`t need photoshop for a colorkey. There are many more software that can do the same. But if you will buy some sofware at the next time, than by PS. Because photoshop is still the most used software! And so you`ll find the most tutorials explained on PS.

Here's a pretty good tutorial. This is how I usually do mine, except for the method of converting to b&w -- I do that a bit differently.
