B & W with a D60

The D60 cannot shoot directly B&W. Is there another way to take B&W pictures in-camera instead of converting the picture in post-processing?

why? it's better to convert to B&W in post anyway.

Really? I find that surprising, but if that's the case, then no, I can't think of any way that you could do this other than in post.

i think you should read your manual. i just downloaded the d60 maual and it says you can.

Maybe I am looking at the wrong chapter. I don't see it in the Shooting Settings Menu; the only setting dealing with how the actual picture is in-camera manipulated is "Active-D Lighting".

I was shown with a black and white file that I took straight from my camera the color information is still there. He loaded the picture from my camera that I took in black and white and used a dial and all the color filled in as if I had taken it in color. In otherwords there is no difference if you do it in the camera or post.
