B&W with color, First edit with PS

Hello all, this is my very first edit with photoshop on a black and white wedding portrait that I took. I wanted to give it a try and see how well it came out. What do you all think? Taken with a D80 50mm f/2, shutter 1/2500.

The selective coloring looks good, but the harsh lighting is not very pleasing.

hmm, not sure this belongs to the b&w

the colouring is nice, but the couple lacks contrast and sharpness IMHO. Even though the main subject might be the flowers here, the couple is certainly worth some focus and contrast Just my first impression.

I think selective coloring work well in this case and I think it's a pretty good photograph in general. Welcome to the forum too.

Agree the black and white is flat. If you were going to color the flowers over their heads why not do them all.
