I have to agree with MissCream, along with cutting off the image is really hurting it. From the "Hand" that fingers are holding to "chopped" off head.

See if you can get another go at it!

Looks to me like #1 had the most thought behind it, so its great that youre thinking compositionally!
The rest look a bit snapshotty. The one with baby holding moms finger can be such a great shot, but this is harshly lit. Do you have a speedlight?

I was using a light that painters used that stood on legs..what is a speedlight? Sorry I'm so new at this! I want to get a bigger flash for on my camera but not sure which to get!

A Speedlight is the brand of an external flash. Like you mentioned, it's the kind that are bigger and go on your camera.
