Aubrey and I did a recent photo shoot for the sister of a little boy we shot last year. Here are a few from the shoot..... Lensbaby shots:
What a pretty baby! I guess she was not too difficult to photograph, now was she? Pretty as she is? She looks cold in Photos 4 and 5, that mottled skin has some effect on me, some emotions spring up that make me want to lift her up and hold her warmer... Photo 3 is extra special with that cute little mouth, but I am not happy with that one tiny corner of her eye that actually is outside the frame. I really like Photo 1, even though that on is very classic, but her expression is so cute. And I admire you for your ability to work the lensbaby for the last two. You know I tried it only ONCE (or maybe you don't ... I did try while in DC ... but you had stayed back and went swimming instead of making the kids trot through rain-soaked Washington, I think), and I wasn't successful AT ALL. That lensbaby makes for some different views for sure!
OMG, how cute is that baby????? That first one is so precious, "Just hanging out checking out how cool my hand is". LOL. Love it!
Thanks for the comments Corinna, I am going to see if I can crop #3 a little differently, I didn't notice that bit of eye before and now it bothers me, too! The lens baby shots were Aubrey's, I haven't played with the lensbaby yet, but I want to! #1 is my personal favorite, I hope Mom & Dad will enjoy it as well!
I like number three the best compositionally, however, my only(and I hesitate to use this word for this) nitpick, is that there is something in her cute little nose. I think I would edit it out. Other then that, it is perfect! Number two is also precious(well they all are but it ranks second with me!)
Salumr, I believe I was using the Canon 100mm macro on #3. Katz, Baby snot removal is easy enough in PS. Thanks for pointing that out!
I LOVE that lens. I end up shooting it almost all day at weddings. It's by far the sharpest lens in my bag.
