Also, I love the ffect of having a photo B&W and leaving a splash of color. I've done this by duplicating the original picture, changing the layer to B&W and then erasing the part that I want left in color. This works well, however, I have a feather hairpeice that I would like to do this effect to, but its very wispy, so I'm having issues trying to isolate the wispy peices. So my question is, is there a better way to acheive what I'm trying to do?

Here is the picture I'm wanting to do it to:

i love your photography... but not crazy about a baby with jewelry...and feathers... and the baby is adorable.

Very nice. I don't usually go for selective color, but I think it works nicely in #1.

I too am not a big fan of selective colour, but it does seem to work for #1. I'm not positive how you could pull it off without looking "cheesy" in image #2. I'm no help on how to make the process easier in photoshop, sorry.

I love, love, love the first picture! I don't typically like selective color but that touch of pink works very well in the first. I would lighten up the second one in PP a bit.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will try lightening up #2. :)

#1 is cute! Second pic looks underexposed, and needs to be re-processed for more rich, vibrant color.

Ok, how about this?
