Hey, Clancy: I love the colors in both of these photos, and these kinds of things are fun to do. The thing is... if you like them -- they're cool. But you can also make a somewhat boring photo (as you say) better in PhotoShop. Here's #1 with a little cropped off the right side, as Ron suggested, and also with an overall "blur" and then selective erase on the main area of interest. I also selected a section in the lower left corner and darkened it a bit. Not sure this version is really better. But playing around like this in PhotoShop is fun. Good luck with it.

Thank you both, yeah Ive attempted to use Photoshop but it's so overwhelming. I kinda stick to the basic iPhoto
