What does balanced reputation mean? I noticed a few little grey squares where people have left me rep. I haven't noticed the points increase at all and I get a little grey square next to it. Not a green one or a red one. I finally looked at the url and it ends with /reputation_balance.gif. I never noticed an option to give anything like that. Only positive or negative.

I've wondered the same thing myself. I've gotten a few of those, but I wouldn't know how to GIVE an even rep. (not that there would be any point in that)

I believe that the grey squares are given by people who don't have reputations points to give, i.e they don't have reputation points themselves. It means that they went to give you reputation but it doesn't work out to be positive or negative for you.

Under your User CP link at the top, you have the option on whether or not you want your reputation hidden :)

That's really odd. It won't change when they get some will it? It just seems kinda, pointless. Especially when it's anonymous so you can't return the favour.
I know it wouldn't be fair if they couldn't give out rep points. You get what I'm saying, right?
:)

Hmm.... so if you can't give rep points till you get rep points - how'd the whole thing start? Was there divine intervention by an Admodgod?

You get reputation points over time as well. The whole idea being that there should be some limit to how much people can change another persons reputation.

I am a little worried. I question the reputation deal. What if I go another 994 posts with zero reputation points? Does that make me a bad person? Will I be kicked off the forum? What can I say or post to get reputation points? Ok. Those questions may be a little ridiculous, but you get my drift.

The changes are great. In case you were wondering; works perfectly in Safari v1.2.3 on Mac 10.3.5. That has got to be worth one reputation point.

No, it makes you a bad person if you have a rep like mine. :fangs:

Yes!!!! I have four reputation points. Praise to the mods for having mercy on me. I will try and use them or something. Is anyone else getting a "high school" feel from this added feature?
