a clone means you have have more than one nick on the server. make sure you have only one connection to the austnet server and one nick.

that message is a server generated deal, not mine.

Heh heh. I knew it was the server and not you. Not sure why the server is doing this though. I think that austnet has had some problem from my provider Fuse.net in the past becuase the message says "banned with mask *.fuse.net. So looks like its the whole range of hosts from my isp. very odd. In my several years of IRC I havent come accross a whole range being banned from server. Odd. Oh well....
