love the first one, the way its head is turned, eye contact. the way the flowers start to blur quickly is great. the background of the second is nice.

That first one is special, with the eye-contact and wing position of the owl, that nice rock in the foreground, and the way the colours are all so complementary

Nicely done! The first shot attracts my attention, tool me a second to work out what was happening.. I think the perspective and relationship in sizes throws you out for a second.

whoa, kun-fu owl in the first one. if you're quick with the copyrights you can make a movie out of it

Well they were shot using a Canon 1D mkII with a 300mm F2.8 IS L lens

I was using AI Servo focussing with all 45 AF points selected so the camera can track more easily

And the Owl had just taken off from the boulder in the first shot, its a lot bigger than the owl, I'd guess the Owl was maybe 6 or 7 inches infront of the boulder
