Basketball pictures

I took my son and my wife friend team pictures

Pictures were taken outside in a dead end alley... outside the kids basketball gym... set up on the lft 1 sb-600 high at 45* in a softbox and yn-460 set low thru white umbrella to light the background on the right. Camera d80 w/ sigma 28/70mm f2.8-4
#1-2 only the background was touch in PS light it up a little bit and took some wrinkles out...
any comments would be appreciated :undecided

I'm guessing your main light could've been brought closer in and (if possible) to bring the subject forward a bit. The long shadows are a tell. Notice the size of the shadow from the baskett ball on his right leg and how sharp the edges are.

I didnt have that much room to work with but I considered trying next time thanks... this is my 1st photo shoot with flash beside messing around at house with them....
