Beating a Dead Horse - Nikon D7000 vs. D800

D7000 and D800 have the same pixel pitch, so essentially needs the same sharpness. But, smaller formats usually yields sharper lenses, that's why there no big difference between different formats. Example, maximum res of 17-55mm 2.8 on D300s has 65 lp/mm (total of 1560 lp horizontally) while 24-70mm 2.8 on D3s has 50lp/mm (total of 1800 lp horizontally). Looking at total resolution, the 24-70mm 2.8 seems better eh, but remember, it is 50% more expensive than 17-55mm 2.8.

I testet the D800 hours before. D7000 has no chance against. Really, the D800 is awesome.
