Been around but new on the board

Hello, I kind of did things backwards and posted a question first before introducing myself. I've been an on and off again photographer that always seems to have to do photography for work, though I wouldn't call myself a professional photographer. I do like to work on my own projects, though. I began with a Canon AE-1 that I was given as a gift and then switched to Nikon, working up the chain of midrange film cameras like the FA and FE2, which I still own. Now I'm back on Canon and enjoy the digital revolution. I had a D60 and upgraded to a 30D and am thinking of eventually upgrading to a 7D, so I can use my APS lenses.
