Begginner in the House.... Help

Looking to purchase a digital Cam... something of better quality ... was advised on the rebel .... anyone have a better idea?

Get the Rebel XT. Its a very good starter DSLR.

Nikon is the best in my opinion. You could compare the Nikon D40 to the canons or the D80 but it depends on what you want to spend on the camera.

Whats your budget? $500-$1000 or $3000+? ;-)

Seriously, what we need to know is if you want a camera you can give to grandma or if you plan to get it for yourself and get serious in photography. We'll need your price range and what you're looking to do. Weddings? Sports? Landscapes? Portraits? Urban Documentation? Just for the vacation thats upcoming?

if you want a good cam ill say the Canon rebel X series if you are willing to part with a little cash try the rebel XTi :thumbup:
