Beginner shot of the day [3]

Hi !

I will try to upload one photo I took each day for one month.
Here is my 3rd shot

I was walking on a fish market when this guy attracted my attention. I was lucky the fisherman allowed me to take it in photo (a lot of photo interdiction in the market).

Personally, I think this is by far the strongest of the four shots you've posted in this series so far. You have a strong subject that is photographed in a way that makes it clear it's the subject, yet you still have enough of the background that the picture tells a clear story.

I'm partial to the color version, but this is largely because I'm not all that enamored of black and white in general. In this case I think the black and white image is a little more dramatic, but I still like the subtle interplay of the colors in the color image.
