Belfast 11th Night Bonfire

Not sure if this is the correct section, but here is a shot I took last night of a bonfire held in Belfast Northern Ireland. I was approx 300 - 400m away from it at the time and the heat from it was still pretty severe.

Never taken a shot like this before, focused on the people milling about and the flames lit the scene.

its cool, its cool, but cut off the loose black to the left and the bottom
 
What were the settings for this shot? I would have tried pushing up the ISO and the shutter speed, and maybe tried to capture some of the foreground aside from silhouettes.
 
Sure enough, the night to the 12th and the 12th are over ... we'll be late for that.
But Jono, go read my post in the Off Topics and say something, will you?
