Bell & Howell Filmosound 1592 - not threading

I've acquired the B & H proj. (16mm) and have some old 16mm movies to transfer to DVD. However, the motor works and the drive belt is moving and turning a pulley, but all those white gears are not turning. Therefore, it's not self threading the film and of course it won't advance the film

Any ideas as to what the problem is?

I'm not familiar with that specific projector, but there is usually an elastic drive belt inside that turns all of the sprockets. That is most likely broken.
