Beneath the Control Room-Composition?

Didn't think much of this when I saw the scan, but it's been growing on me for a few months. There's something appealing about the composition, but still off. Any suggestions?

It could be a bit sharper. Though the picture concept I personaly like alot.

As a texture and pattern shot, there are too many areas lacking in detail because of the low lighting/undexposure.
