Hi!

I'm looking to buy a 28-300mm or 28-250mm lens for my Canon 5D mkII and was wondering if anybody has any advice on which is the best to got for?
It's for wedding photography, and I'm currently looking at the Canon EF 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens but I was wondering if there are any cheaper alternatives that provide similar performance?

I've looked at similar versions made by Tamron and Sigma, but wondered if the performance differ by much?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

:)

I suggest that any superzoom lens would be a very poor choice for wedding photography.

Because of soft focus at each end of the superzoom range, a variety of optical aberrations that cannot be corrected because of the zoom range, and they are all variable aperture zooms.

Even the 5d ii will struggle with the ISO settings you will require for any super zoom in a wedding scenario. Its probably not what you want to hear but i doubt if anyone here will recommend a good one. They are just not fast enough

I'm thinking more for the outdoor photography, but agree with what you guys have said. Ah well, It'll save me a few bob!! :)

70-200 f2.8???
