Sorry if this is the wrong place,

But I was wondering where would be the best website for me to start my online gallery? Flickr? Photobucket? DeviantArt? Does anyone have any advice on which gives the best viewing, easiest management, etc? Thanks!

www.tripod.com offers free web sites that include free photo albums...

I wouldn't touch Tripod with a 10 foot pole. Unless you want popups, or are willing to pay $4.95 a month...a rip if you ask me.

deviantArt is dang good and so is http://storm-artists.net Both sites are very similar and many people are members of both sites.

You may also want to have a look at http://zenfolio.com Very professional, along with http://eyefetch.com and http://aminus3.com Both give you free photoblogs are very proffesional as well

Flat Grey Wall -- http://www.flatgreywall.com -- is a new online gallery, easy to manage but very sophisticated software, one can sell stuff, no ads. First month is free, then they charge $10/month. Because the site was launched quite recently, there's not much competition (as yet). I have my own website but will discontinue it because I get more exposure for much less money at Flat Grey Wall.

Zenfolio looks very professional, and slick. I like Flickr the best personally, but I don't know if I would use it to show clients my work. DA sucks IMO, ads, waits, all that bull. Not to mention it's dog slow.
