Thoughts?

I'm looking for a good magazine (not primiarly focused on digital) that offers tips on technique, has info. on good workshops, etc.

Just thought i'd bring it up again since I'm asking the same question. Just a good photography magazine thats not jammed full of advertisements

Photolife (Canadian publication)

Photolife has my vote. I picked one up in Borders and liked it so much that I subscribed. Not lots of ads. Articles that I find interesting. Not focused on digital.

Don't know if they're available in the US, but for all you UK members, I'd recommend Outdoor Photography for landscape & wildlife enthusiasts, or Photography Monthly for a wider range of styles, covering portraits, night shots, reportage etc, as well as the above.

I never heard of that one or seen it but I know of Outdoor Photographer. Is that what you're talking about? Are they the same thing?

Either way, Outdoor Photographer is a good magazine. I vote for Photolife as well. (http://www.photolife.com/)

Had a look at the website - it's a different magazine to the Outdoor Photography we have in the UK, but the style & layout etc look very similar - it could be that Outdoor Photographer is the US version of Outdoor Photography... not sure if they're published by the same company though.

Practical Photography, but its a just UK magazine.

We can get it here too, I have an issue or two. I thought it was very good.

For traditional b&w and darkroom, I highly recommend Black & White Photography (UK version). I love love love it! I subscribe and it's expensive (coming all the way from the UK) but it is very worth it.
