Best way to get help?

I have a photography book i am trying to promote and don't want to get in trouble for spaming is there a place in the forum I can talk about my book and post the url so people can check it out? I want to do this the right way. Thanks.

Not real sure that your very first post as a new member of any forum should be self-promotional, or that doing that could be called doing it the right way.

Why not join, spend some time around here, get to know people, let them get to know you, then promote away at a later time???
