bif for LAFOTO

Red Kites taken one afternoon around sunset in the Chiltern hills, southern England.

Not the sharpest focus but I like them.

These were from a group of 7 birds I had been watching in a tree. As the sun started to set they all took off (obviously I was watching another bird so missed that shot :er: ) and started playing chasing and diving at each other.

Good captures; well done. It's always amazing to see other creatures at "play:" reminds us how important that activity is.

Red kites ... I don't think we have very many of those where I live. But my friend also once managed to get some good "bif"-shots of red kites in Wales while on holidays... Lovely series in a very sweet light. The most detail is in the first, but the third shows the action best, I think. Very nice.

(What I will have to do more is go to a place and WAIT, I think, rather than spot a bird and try to capture that...)
