Hi All,

Labor Day weekend in St. Louis = bike races.

Dam* they're hard to photograph! Caught them on the uphill stretch where they drop down to around 30 mph. Only had time today to catch 1 race so I opted for freeze action shots and set the shutter to 1/1250. Sitting here in Photoshop taking a first look:

sweet! I love cycling and I've always thought about going to shoot a race for experience/practice.

to bad i'd always rather be on the bike than behind the lens when game-day comes

...yeah definitely need to push the limits of that shutter speed for shots like these! keep practicing

btw if you went in tight on that second guy in the second one I think the vertical would be cool, since your stuff ok to edit i think i'll toss one up!

The first does not seem like there racing...yet ! This would be a powerful shot if they were in the thick of the bike race

yeah i think the vertical works; the guy in the front is a bit more exciting expression and angle, but his face is a bit to blurred i think
