OK, Please explain "blown out". I understand the toning down the blue.

Your highlights (sidewalk) are too hot (bright)... you lost detail in them. Normally you would just underexpose a little, however, you've also lost detail in your shadows. So you shouldn't underexpose any more.

I'm afraid to say that there's pretty much only one thing you can do with photos like these: recycle bin (unless you're going for extreme contrast...). And try again.:-(

I agree with you on the interesting repetition in the bikes though...

I tried again to reduce the "blowout".
I'd appreciate some feedback since there are three of the same shot.

is it still as blue as the second?
