There is somebody looking for a photographer to cover her birthday dinner on craigslist. She is offering 100 for 1-2 hours. Should I go for it? if so how should i email her so that i don't sound like a scam?

Thanks!

Depends; do you feel your skills and experience are up to the job? $100 for two hours is really pushing the edge of the profit ratio in my opinion, especially if you have to drive any distance in Vancouver traffic. As for contacting her, I would simply e-mail, saying, "Hi, I'm so-and-so, I have an opening in my schedule and can cover your event. Send her a link to or samples of your work. If you do choose to take on the job, make sure that she signs a contract in advance which clearly states how much time you're expected to work, what your pay is, what the deliverables are, time-line estimate, and that you retain copyright as well as the right to use the images for self-promotion, profesional accreditation, etc.

Good luck.
