#2 is definately the better of the 2! I would crop off a little more off the top, ther than that they look good!

If these are your first attempts at flower photography, then I must say you definitely are on the right path.
The second is very impressive with its shadows and very clear texture. And therefore I can also live with the subject being smack in the centre of your second pic ... I would nitpick that aspect in the first, though.
