I did not know they have such expressive FACES! This is so cool.
And as everyone says: the detail in this photo is amazing! Awesome.
And who knows me well enough will know that I love the colour of the background. :D

Wow nice! How did you get it to stay still long enough to get the shot off? They seem to be too jittery for me and fly away.

Picture perfect Alex, I know how tricky these can be to shoot considering how small they are and you hit it right on! Great composition and exposure.

Alessandra- I use a 10D with a 100mm macro.

Zedin- Yes they are very flighty! This one was here for only about a second. Sometimes they spook off the leaf but come back. My husband always laughs when he sees me in the garden trying to wrangle the damselflies. I stood out there for an hour trying to get them "used" to me, but actually I think they have the memory span of a goldfish (about 3 seconds).:lmao:
