they never look as good as the slides!

Great action shot! I remember Velvia from my days at a photography store, had to keep it in the fridge if I remember correctly.
 
Not only do I like this just because it's a bike photo :wink: You totally nailed the composition on this one. Well done..................

Looks like it could use some fine-tuning of colors and or lighting, to bring it up to par as far as digital quality is concerned.

Yeah, I looked at the pic on a friends computer and it looks so horrible. My moniter is really old so what looks decent on mine looks bad on others. the scanner i use doesnt do well when there are very dark and lighter parts in one slide, the ground looks overexposed but it really isnt that way on the slide. oh well.
