Oh schwetty I laughed out loud so hard when I saw that donkey version of Bosco hahahaha! and I gotta say I am in total with the horse in the fog the big girl with the spots! its absolutely beautiful! honestly you interpreted what I wanted from that. May I ask how you did it? I really really really love it!

Your white balance was off.

Graphite, do you have a tripod?

If so, I'd use a smaller aperture, a slower shutter, and lower ISO.

Download the free trial of Adobe Lightroom 3, and play with the white balance settings. You can also adjust/desaturate each color individually, for example the orange, to get the look you want.
