Bowl of Lettuce

When I first got my Rebel camera (which is the first DSLR i've ever owned) I was a bit trigger happy, and these are two of the first pics I ever took with my new gear.

Figured i'd throw them up for C and C! T'was a bright sunny day and I was in charge of supper

First of all: I love the colour. (For those who know me, this is NOT new!)

Then I much prefer the second over the first, it conveys a much nicer atmosphere all over, even though the amount of green is less prevalent than in the first. But not all that's green is gold (or however that saying goes ... :scratch: ) and is much more pleasingly composed. The background is only mildy blurred, but not too busy to be distracting, I think, but "there" enough to provide a context.
