Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Well I think this is about the best place to stick this for some attention - anyway here we go;

Ever wanted to be able to list all your photo threads on TPF in one place?
Ever get tired of having to search through long lists of created threads just to find the ones with photos in them?

Well now you don't have to - now you can list all your photo threads in a single place - the Photo Tracker Thread:

http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/off-topic-chat/145544-photo-tracker-thread.html

All you have to do is this;

1) find all your photo threads on the site - to do this just find a post of yours on the site - click on your name and view your profile as you would another persons - go to statistics and then view all threads created by you. In the search results pick our the photo threads - you might find it usefully to order the results by thread start date.

2) Make a post in the photo tracker thread - into this place links to all your photo threads. There is no set format for this, though I advise that you lable each link with a title and possibly a brief comment as to its contents.

3) Once the post is made you go to the upper righthand corner of the post where there is a number and the words "Perma Link". Click on the small number just to the left of Perma link and that will open your post as a single page. You can then copy the address bar and paste that link anywhere and it will guide people directly to that page.
A link in your sig works very well.

4) When you post new photo threads on the site just go to your original post in the phototracker thread and edit the post - adding in the link and details. It often helps to mark new threads out from the others.

And there you have it - a simple link to all your photographic work on TPF :)

*bump for some attention*
come on now - use the tracker thread :)

The tracker thread is a thing of evil that must be destroyed!

I'm really just looking to respond to all of overread's posts today and insist that there is some kind of evil at work. :)

In truth, I'm sure the tracker thread is just lovely. :)

I've been bumping it whenever the oppertunity presents it self. Wile I do need to update it I have not had that many photos posted since I last did and even fewer photos that where actually good....:(

b-b-b-but why would I want to track the photos that nobody likes anyway? It's kinda like watching porn...... it's fun for a while, but at the end of the day, you're just left there sitting in a room lit by the glow of the monitor, with your pants around your ankles and having to decide whether to clean up the mess or not.

Meh, I like to think of it more along the lines of putting them in front of more eyes, It's easier for someone to look to see what someone has done this way as opposed to searching for the users threads by weeding out discussions and whatnot.

wow.

:lol:

I wouldn't call it a feature. Personally, there's no way I'd remember or want to go back and edit a thread every time I posted a picture.

A feature would be something on the server side that searches existing posts for attachments and the IMG tag, providing the list automagically. ;)

yah..............but......................................................I can't do admin stuffs....

besides would you all really want me playing with the site codes? I mean nasty things could happen*

*though probably only to penguins ;)
