Say what you like about the Big Box stores, but the local B&M store really comes through for me!

About 3 weeks ago, I found a good used Nikkor 24-120/3.5-5.6 D lens (for less than a c-note!). I figured it would hold me until I could pony up for the f/4 G. I didn't even think of a hood for it! So I got online and started to search for one.

Ebay? Pfffft. They all want at least $25-40! The Big Box boys? Ehh.... depends on if you want new or used. And used prices were all over the map!

So yesterday when I dropped into the local store I haunt, I asked if they had an HB-11 hood.

Yep, it's a genuine jobber, not a knock-off! >>NIB<< And I don't have to pay shipping and wait a week to get it............

I love brick & mortar stores. With the exception of the G10 I had, I've bought all of my digital cameras from actual stores that I had to walk into.

The G10 came from B&H. I'll actually be going there on Tuesday, so I guess that counts!
