Since I'm bored, but don't feel like splashing in the chemicals, I thought I would just try some negative scans...

How can you turn a boring bridge into an interesting photograph?
Very nice contrast there.

Great job, I would guess this is a spot that not a lot of people could photography well but you did it justice. Wonderful contrast, composition and I love the line from the bridge to the path beyond.

Lovely contrast!

Well, I think bridges are good motifs, per se. And this one is no exception.
I like the atmosphere in this photo, the loneliness, and the simplicity of this little bridge. Yes, great lines. Feel bored more often, will you? ;)

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone. :) Well I printed this up this past weekend and got them scanned last night. I did two versions, one just normal, and then I added some vignetting on the second.

I will just link them, because they are really big. I tried to resize them, but I lost a lot of the detail. :|

http://moltenwords.net/pics/bridge04.jpg (this one is a little too dark, because I goofed and forgot to change the aperture, so it was printed 5 sec at f/4 and 10 at f/5.6 instead of 15 at f/5.6)

I think I like the vignetting look, but I think it needs less than I did that time.

What you do think?

great work! love the tones/contast and all. your burning technique provides a suitible frame.

I like them both. They each have their own feel. The first sunny and bright, the second slightly morbid.
I prefer the second one.
