Traded in my 75-300 IS canon lens at Calumet Camera (in Chicago) and got a pretty decent price of $240 for trade. I'm going to use that against the 1.4X III extender.

Bought the actual lens off newegg.com. Slightly more than amazon, but I'm comfortable with newegg, and I got 12 mos 0% on it. I'll have it paid down as soon as my tax refund comes!

    Woooot.:lmao:

It's a fantastic lens - looking forward to seeing what you get with it - should be a fun time!

I've been trying to find a way to justify that lens to myself for a few months now... Oh how I want one! Congrats :)

That lens is on my list of future purchases as well. All the reviews state it is a fantastic purchase and worth the upgrade from the older version.
